Althea THC 5:CBD 10

Althea THC 5:CBD 10

Product details

Origins

Althea uses Afghani Skunk and CBD Auto Charlotte’s cannabis strains to create this product. Afghan Skunk is an Indica-dominant hybrid strain (70% Indica and 30% Sativa). It was first created in the US by crossing Afghani and Skunk #1 strains. CBD Auto Charlotte is a Sativa-dominant hybrid crossed with CBD Charlotte’s Angel and CBD Auto Compassion Lime to create an autoflower.

Growers prefer autoflowers as they are convenient and easy, producing a fast harvest with decent yields. Since they have a compact size, autoflowers are among the best plants for growing in small spaces and outdoors as they are resilient and robust. This results in a strain that contains 20% Indica and 80% Sativa genetics.

Composition

Althea THC 5:CBD 10 is a medical cannabis that contains 5mg of THC and 10mg of CBD per 1ml. Once extracted, the cannabinoids and phytonutrients are diluted in a MCT carrier oil. This oil is made of medium-chain triglycerides, which are smaller than long-chain triglycerides (found in most of the fats we eat), and much easier to digest by the human body. MCT oil is the most common carrier oil used in the cannabis market, as it can improve the bioavailability of active compounds.

Dosing guidelines

The guidance provided here is not intended to be medical advice – patients will discuss their dosage guidelines with a medical professional independently before beginning their treatment.

Patients can consume this product sublingually or orally. When administered sublingually, users need to place drops under the tongue and wait for effect between 10-20 minutes. The duration of action typically lasts 2-4 hours. If a patient chooses oral consumption, the onset time is between 1-2 hours with a long-lasting duration of action between 6-10 hours. This option is suitable for users who don’t like the natural hempy taste. This oil can be purchased only with a prescription from a medical doctor. Patients will discuss this information and their treatment options with a medical practitioner.

Extraction

The product is crafted using the ethanol extraction technique, which is one of the most popular methods among cannabis producers. Since ethanol is a potent solvent, manufacturers can isolate the maximum concentration of cannabinoids and terpenes.
