Tilray THC 21 – Pink Kush

Tilray THC 21 - Pink Kush

Origins

The parentage of this strain is somewhat debated, however it is largely agreed that it is derived from the OG Kush strain.

Composition

Tilray THC 21 includes the whole dried plant flower and patients can purchase it in various quantities. Each batch targets a THC level of 22.3% and a CBD level of 1%.

The main terpenes include Linalool, Limonene, and Caryophyllene. Terpenes work alongside the other compounds in the cannabis plant (cannabinoids and flavonoids) and contribute towards the therapeutic and medical benefits that accompany medical cannabis treatment. For example, Limonene can produce anti-stress effects and help to manage anxiety disorders. Many studies have highlighted the anticancer and antioxidant properties of Linalool, and Caryophyllene is known for its antimicrobial and antibacterial effects.

Storage

Storing your cannabis product correctly will prolong its life. Keep it in a cool, dry place and away from sunlight. It’s essential to keep this product (and any cannabinoid product) out of the reach of children and animals.

Dosing guidelines

The guidance provided here is not intended to be medical advice – patients will discuss their dosage guidelines with a medical professional independently before beginning their treatment.

Patients can inhale medical cannabis for quick benefits, as the effects can be felt between 5 to 10 minutes. The effects will last between 2 to 4 hours, so this is best for patients needing fast relief from their symptoms, as opposed to long-lasting effects. If patients prefer to avoid smoking medical cannabis or are seeking long-lasting benefits, then they can consume it orally. Once the cannabis is absorbed in this manner (it can take up to 2 hours) the benefits can last for up to 10 hours.

This particular strain of medical cannabis has high THC content. Therefore, patients need to ensure that they monitor how the treatment affects their symptoms as well as how they feel. If patients are worried or believe they may need a lower dose or a lower potency strain, then they should consult their physician.

Lab testing

As with any medication, it needs to be put through extensive and rigorous testing. Tilray products undergo in-house testing, in addition to third-party lab testing. The latter is arguably more important, as it is a form of independent, unbiased testing that checks the THC strength and ensures safety.
