Origins
This strain is cultivated by Tilray in Portugal.
Composition
Each container of Tilray THC 22 Sativa No.2 is prepacked with 5 grams of the strain Headband in dried, whole plant flower form. Tilray targets THC levels of 21% and CBD levels below 1%, but levels can vary slightly by lot. The dominating terpene in this strain is Limonene, which is associated with stress and anxiety-reducing properties.
Dried, whole plant flower provides users with a full spectrum of cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids. This means that patients can benefit from the entourage effect, which is where all the naturally occurring compounds in the plant work together synergistically to create a more long-lasting, potent effect. Although evidence of the entourage effect in research is preliminary, many well-respected scientists and leading researchers in the industry believe whole-plant flowers and extracts are much more effective than isolated cannabinoid/terpene products.
Storage
Storing your cannabis product correctly will prolong its life. Keep it in a cool, dry place and away from sunlight. It’s essential to keep this product (and any cannabinoid product) out of the reach of children and animals.
Dosing guidelines
The guidance provided here is not intended to be medical advice – patients will discuss their dosage guidelines with a medical professional independently before beginning their treatment.
Patients who are sensitive to dizziness, paranoia, headaches or anxiety should consider a more balanced or CBD-dominant strain (your medical practitioner should advise you on this). The psychoactive effects of Tilray THC 22 Sativa No.2 can be overwhelming for some people, and caution should be taken even for experienced medical cannabis users. Patients who have not used medical cannabis before will be advised to start on a strain with much lower THC levels so users can titrate up slowly.
Users can either administer Tilray THC 22 Sativa No.2 via inhalation or orally in food and drinks. With any medical cannabis product, users should start on a low dose and slowly titrate upwards until they find their sweet spot. Inhalation administration has an onset time of 5-10 minutes, and the duration of action lasts for 2-4 hours. If the cannabis is consumed orally, patients can expect an onset time of 1-2 hours and a duration of action that lasts 6-10 hours. Times can vary significantly depending on an array of factors including (but not limited to) metabolism, body fat percentage and weight.
Lab testing
Tilray strives for accuracy and consistency across all its products and to make sure of this, the medical cannabis producer employs in-house testing in addition to third-party lab testing. This means patients can have the confidence in knowing that there are no harmful metals, pesticides or other ingredients and the levels of cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids advertised are consistent in the consumer’s end product.
Disclaimer
The information provided in this product description is based on anecdotal reports and is not yet verified from scientific research. While there is preliminary evidence that suggests medical cannabis could be effective for a range of conditions, there still needs to be much more peer-reviewed scientific literature in a clinical setting to substantiate any medical claims. Patients should visit their medical practitioner for further information.
